Kelvin, a true Aussie at heart, has spent his whole career around horses. Having grown up in the outback with a stock saddle and a pair of cowboy boots, he is the living, breathing version of Croc Dundee - he just tackles horses instead of crocs!
Kelvin is now based at Irongate Polo, based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Kelvin, an established Professional Polo Player, focuses on developing and playing his own string of polo ponies throughout the English Polo season. Kelvin has been the sole horse breaker for Irongate Home breds, designing bespoke training for each young horse.
Currently with 9 homebred's, Kelvin has been hugely successful and professional with his young horse programmes.
Kelvin's success, professional expertise and talent within this area has led him to design a bespoke horse training and breakers business to suit each client's need. From behavioural problems, ridden problems or needing a professional player to pilot your young horses in their first arena match, Kelvin will create a tailor made package to meet these requirements.

Irongate Polo have all the suitable facilities to accommodate your horse. We are based in the Cotswolds that has lots of country providing access to what Kelvin likes to call the 'bush' used for his 'outrides,' which is a great advantage to de-sensitise and introduce your horse to new surroundings.
Irongate has an all weather arena, a round yard, stick and ball field, stables and paddocks. Your horse will have luxury accommodation, its own paddock checked daily and quality fodder during its programme.
What differentiates Kelvin to others in his field is the patient and calm understanding manner he has working with each horse. Kelvin will assess and study your horse's behaviour, focusing on the small details to be sure the work dedicated to the horse is to its best advantage.
